Recently install Putco 4" Boss Bars on 03' 3500 crew cab:

o Very easy to install, they attach to the frame, just took a couple of minutes to understand the instructions. ( Note PDF instruction file from their web site was easier to read, along w/ better illustrations images; the copy provided w/ bars was mashed a little).

o They work great for me w/size 12 shoes, and a little over 200lbs. Their is a little bit of technique to getting in and out. Passenger side is very easy.

o Very solid feel to them.

o Suggest consideration of Putco Bars if they meet your needs.

o Shopped around for best price along w/ free shipping.

o See link below for pictures.

Hey! Add me to the "I Like Em'" list. I've had two of the polymer step pads break (bottom posts), but Putco sent replacements immediately at no charge.

Nice truck,

Do the molded front Mud Flaps use the existing holes in the fender flares? I have the flat mud flaps and would like to switch but don't want to leave exposed holes especially with the salt they use on the roads up here. Any pics of the inside front fender?

Thanks

Smitty8401,
Thanks for the compliments on truck.

The front mud flaps fit in existing holes w/new hardware. They are a little tricky to install and four hands makes it easier, can be done by yourself.

I am picking up my Putco Boss Bars tomorrow. I had a set of Westins new Oval step tubes on my truck for one month and the chrome started peeling off. The Putco bars are a bit more $$$ but sounds like they will be well worth it. By the way, NICE TRUCK!!!
