As many of you 03 owners know there are some pretty serous blind spots in these mirrors. I was wondering if anyone has found a add on dome mirror of some sort that works and looks good too? Otherwise I will go out and pick up a couple of the little stick on dome mirrors.

Pictures, Manufacture and part numbers if you have anything good.

Why the heck did they use that flat mirror on the passenger side anyway?

Take a look at these
http://www.safedriving.com/index.html

I bought the smaller ones at PEP Boys, didn't know bout the larger ones till just now.

They clamp on the edge of your existing mirrors. They are adjustable for elevation and angle.

Right now I've got mine hanging under my mirrors, but am thinking about moving them to the top.

I have the Hercules add on mirrors (http://www.hercules.co.il/page11.html) and saw them in Pep Boys today and they are also in the Camping world www site. It is nice that the right sided mirror is not wide angle as it gives you a "life size" view which is especially helpful when backing into a tight spot or clearing a wall, sign post etc by a few inches. I added these Power Vision mirrors to my 1996 Suburban and was glad when they were an option on the 2003 Dmax.

Power Visions web site offers a small add-on spot mirror for about $10. It clamps on the top or bottom of the Power vision OEM extendable camper mirrors. It looks a bit odd, but it works very well. I use this clamp on mirror and a little 2" round spot mirror. If you don't get a spot mirror, you'll eventually run someone off the road due to the large blind spot on the passenger side rear wheel area!!!

I wish power vision would make the passenger side mirror with both a flat mirror ( as-is) and incorporate a convex area with within outer edge of the mirror.

I'm not finding a website for Power Vision, do you know what it is?

Do the Hercules clip on type of mirrors leave any marks in the plastic housing of the mirror?

Good question. Don't know as I haven't moved mine since I put them on.

The way they clamp onto the mirror should not leave a mark. The have a flat metal clip that slides inside the factory mirror between the housing and the glass. This clip is then used to squeeze the two mirrors together.

Except for the metal clip that is on the inside of the OEM mirror, the rest is just smooth plastic/ABS pressing against the OEM housing.

Go to Wal-mart they have a Cipa convex mirror that is 3"x3" with a black rim. I had to put one on my passenger side as soon as I got home from the dealer. I installed it on the lower inside corner and its working out great!
