My little brothers 40th ( over the hill) birthday is coming up. He has a GMC 2002 CC D/A LT basically stock with the exception of a nerf bar, bed liner and 285's tires.
I want to get him a nice but affordable <$350 upgrade for his truck. I think he's going through a mid life crisis ( I know I did at 40), so I want to give a new toy for his truck, one he'll get a real kick out of?
The juice would be perfect, but it's a bit pricey.
I've been racking my brain and I can think of a few, but I'm curious what others have found to be the best basic accessory upgrades for the money?
Thanks,
;)

Decent exhaust system???
( 450 ) range??
this may set him off and make him go out and get "juiced" himself. :D
The Juice would be the ultimate but staying in your price range of $350 ...
Why not a new Head unit and speakers not top shelf, but a major upgrade.....Go to Critchfield get the direct fit....
Or perhaps a grill insert Putco makes some nice ones......
Shocks......
If he's in a mid life crisis, why not a Message with a "Happy Ending" now that's a pick me up !!!!!!!
MAC :D :D :D

Some of the vendors have a refurbed Juice for 595. A little more than your stated budget but nothing is a better pick me up than horsepower!! smile.gif

Thanks for all the suggestions!
After thinking about it, HE NEEDS THE JUICE! I called a few of my other brothers and asked them to pitch in, they all think I'm nuts, but all agreed the HP is what he needs!
Those with the Juice, What do you think he'd do if we installed the Juice Box without his knowledge, had his wife idle the truck to get to operating temp, and in put in the highest level. I'd love to see his face when he took off...LoL... smile.gif
I think the Juice is the boost he and his truck needs to get "over the hill". LoL...
Thanks!

I wish I had brothers like you :D
Fish that s great idea! He's never going to forget this birthday thats for sure! Can you imagine the stories he'll tell about his 40th for many years to come. You gotta do it and let us know how bad he soils himself!I know I would cause I just turned 40 myself and still feel like a kid.

I was gonna suggest you introduce him to a new passenger seat cover. But he's married, so you don't wanna go there....
Second thought was a nice Harley. I'm sure there's a model he's been dreaming of, but that's a little out of the budget.
Honestly, the Juice makes a great gift. I 'm looking forward to hearing about what he says/does as he fishtails down the driveway... I'm LOL just thinking about it!
If anybody here is feeling generous, I'm having a midlife MELTDOWN. Sure would be nice to get my Juice V3.61 upgraded to Hot V4.61. Bwhahahahaha! ;)

For christmas a couple of years ago I bought my little brother a Banks ex/chip kit for his F**d. He still hasn't stopped talking about it. All of his friends asked my parents to adopt them. :D

Thanks For all the ideas!
We bought a reman Juice ver 4.61 from a local dealer $595.00 here in Utah.
His 40th birthday is today, so went over and installed it today. It was easy! Damn I'm jealous, I want one! What a difference!!!!
His wife told him about some wierd noise in her YuKon, so he drove her SUV to work trying to find the noise ( Noise doesn't exist, Heee Heee). We did this so he wouldn't use his truck today.
Can't wait until his surprise party tonight. We rented a 35' inflatable dinosuar "Godzilla" and a 15' X 8 ' trailered electronic traffic warning sign that scrolls "Happy Birthday, #$^*$*$^ is an Old fossil".
His wife is going to have him run and get some
more snacks after the party starts. He'll jump in his truck and find a new pair of underwear, TP and a few towels LoL.... By the time he comes back, he'll realize why someone placed the extra Underwear, TP and towels on the front seat. :D
We'll keep the truck warmed up until he leaves....So the Juice will be kicked in.
I'll keep you all posted as to what happens.....
and with pictures!
Thanks, :D :D

UPDATE:
WE GOT HIM GOOD!!!!!
Between the surprise party, the huge Godzilla, the 4 Electronic signs at his house, his work, major streets, and the Juice.... we got him really GOOD!
He'll NEVER forget his 40th "Over the Hill" birthday for many reasons!!!
Everything worked out as planned. After he got in his warmed up truck (level 4) and headed up the hill out of neighborhood. He claimed he knew instantly something was up ( it scared him)!
He thought we put a small bottle of Propane under the hood (as a joke.) He pulled over, popped the hood open and saw it was the Juice. He came back to 50 + people all LTAO with a great big grin on his face! :D
My Brothers is a real jokester, so we had plenty of people wanting to pay him back! And boy did he ever get it!!
I wish I had more pictures but they all turned out too dark, but I do have some you can see, Check them out:

Yeah it was a real hoot!
I'm still LMAO!
I'm sure he will get revenge when my 50th rolls around! I can only hope the 7 years will soften him up?
 :D
