16x8 rims = ? big tire

How much tire will fit under an 03 MAX with 16x8 rims, 4&1/2 backspace? This being with no lift.

Let me ask this: On an 03, how much will I need to trim or will I with 305's? The 01-02 was easy to cut back and did not look that bad but the 03 has that radius curve thing. Brake cable has just been recessed for clearance. :D

Hi Burner,

Sorry, I just saw this thread! I've got 305s on my 16x8s and get a tiny bit of rubbing on the driver's side from my DeeZee running boards. My torsion bars are cranked enough to make the truck level, I've got a bit of the plastic fender liner tied back on the driver's side and that's about it.

The 305s sure help give me a bit of flotation while towing in the soft sand washes, since I was too cheap/stupid to get 4wd.
