The 275/55R20 tires I'm running on Lil Red (http://www.thedieselpage.com/features/project2-16.htm) are about 31.7" in diameter and are close to a 265/75R16. These 20" tires produce a bit rougher ride due to the shorter sidewall. 22" tires would be rougher yet, if maintaining the same overall diameter.

You can take a look at a set of 22's installed on a lifted Ford Superduty in the current article Blue Ribbon's 2005 Car/Truck Show (http://www.thedieselpage.com/features/blueribbon2005.htm). This truck is equipped with 22" Weld Racing wheels and Toyo 37 x 13.50R22 tires.

For a correct backspacing, you'll need to measure the backspacing ratio of your stock wheels, then look for larger wheels having that same ratio - to maintain the same neutral steering. More or less backspacing will produce some wander as the tires follow the grooves in the highway.

The rim width on the 20's I'm running are 9.5" wide.
