How to install factory fog lites ??

I would like to install the factory fog lites on my 04 but hear the computer must be told the lites are installed. Is this true ?

some trucks will function fine with out the programming. The lights themselves will work ok, the only ill effect may be that the bcm wont control them and you'll just have to punch the switch, no biggy.

I added factory foglights to my 2001. Kit came with wiring harness, however truck was already wired. Dealer had to program computer. Cost me $35 and about 10 minutes.
