I second the turnoverball. Easy to install, nice flat bed when removed. I use the Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch with it and it works fine. Has side-to-side tilt with a mini shock absorber which is nice.

I just bought a pop up hitch from bluegrass trailer in Kentucky and it work slick and you dont't have to climb in your bed you do it all from the inner fender They are the best price I could find to http://www.bluegrasstrailer.com/

B&W. Luv it. We've had it a little over a year, no compliants. We use the 5th wheel companion to tow our "sand kastle". Like the smooth bed when the companion is removed. Only drawback is once you pull the pin (in the fender well) you gotta climb in the bed to either remove or flip the ball over. But thats ok I don't mind. I like it better than the huge massive plate some hitches use. I believe it's only a 4" hole in the bed.

I have a Draw-Tite flush mount remove-a-ball (30,000 lb).
I like it. Good hitch. Built like a tank.

Thanks guys!
The list of Hitches I was looking at is in the other post of the same name. Darn tab button! I did not know about the B&W companion Fifth wheel attachment that is slick!

Hey Maverick how is to use in the winter? Does the pin get froze up? I am just worried about the wheel well getting packed with snow and being hard to unlatch.

JM,
Don't know. I don't have a B&W. I have a Curt plate hitch in the 3500 and a Draw-tite in the 2500HD. My next hitch will be a B&W. There was no dealer up here and fright was a killer to get it here so I ended up with a D-T. Looks like I may be moving to Jacksonville, FL area. I am sure there is a dealer around there or I'll stop in OK on the way. I too like the B&W companion Fifth wheel attachment. Thats why I think it is the best.

B&W - It's so pretty you hate to grease it.

Not only was this site infavor of Line - X

The B & W installer thought it was the best of all he has seen. Also, spray the Line X in before they cut for the B & W. That seemed to be everyone's opinion.

Thanks again guys!
I going with the B&W Turnover ball.

Preachin thanks for liner info. I was worried because my truck was already lined (Rhino Liner).
After I had it done I thought maybe I should half waited till I had a hitch. Had my rocker panels sprayed to prevent stone chips and salt blasting. It looks great also.

5 hours! Thats all. Thats a day trip for Alaska standards.

Yep...no need for a snowplow. My 3500 is for sale. Plow, 19.5's, and aluminum flatbed, KD 4" exhaust and all. Cheap.

Regulations on trucking are way tougher in the lower 48. I surrender. Selling the truck(3500)(wanna buy it) and trailers and will go back to driving 18 wheels again. I'll make someone else rich. Working on a dedicated run from Green Bay, Wi (I am originally from there) to Jacksonville, FL. Would be hauling product from Georgia Pacific. I am keeping the GMC 2500HD. Could never be Duramaxless. Need a 60 gal. tank, inverter, and a few more goodies for the 2500HD for the trip down. Should be approx. 3,669 miles.

IF you want the absolute strongest hitch, get the Una-Goose Hitch. Check it out at

http://www.una-goose.com/

Guaranteed at 40,000#
No levers/linkage to rust or freeze up. Unless you are too OLD or FAT to get in the bed--it is the best! :D :D When removed, it leaves the bed flat.
