I was just wondering if anyone knew of any other companies that make transfer tanks for the bed of the truck in Canada?
I want to get the transferlo tank, but taxes across the border will kill me.
Any help is appreciated.
I had mine costom bilt, $750 Can For the tank and $350 for pump and install stuff. It's 110 Can Gal (+/- 135 US Gal) with a tool box.
Cheers

hey bearman, do you mind sending me the info on where you got it from? Is there any way to tell how many gallons you have in the back? Thanks

Not much info to send, I had a buddy of mine who is a welder build it for me. As for telling how much fuel is left, I have no idea????? I am sure you could rig something up.

Do you know anyone in the states you could have it drop shipped to?
I installed a 30 gallon in be transfer flow myself and it took about 8 hours and wasn't hard at all. The instructions are great and if you take your time you can't mess up.

I have a 135 GAL tank in the bed of my truck and it is not full all the time and when I top off the tank I have to know how much fuel is left in order to determine the amount of fuel additive to pour in. I made a measuring stick in 10 GAL increments out of 1/2" x 1/8" strap steel, I drilled 1/8" holes at the 10 Gal. marks, this gives me an exact indication how many Gals. are left in the tank. You paint the measuring stick in flat black engine paint.Stu

ya hogbody, i have family in kentucy, but it seems like a really long weekend to go all the way there to do it, but to save the taxes, it might be worth it.
I am trying to get in contact with the companies that were listed on the transferflow site as installers, but I am sure that their prices will be inflated due to having to bring the tanks across. Plus, the closest one is Qeubec, so i may as well drive to the states.
Thanks
My 30 gal in-bed with camper shell fill cost about $1000. with shipping to Oregon. The factory installed wanted $485 to put it in. It took me around 8 hours. $60.+ buck is steep.
Not a hard job.

I have rigged a dip stick like the one you are talking about. On another subject, how do you like your air ride suspension?? I have been thinking about installing one. I get my fuel tank full and my 5'er (with a Honda EU 3000 mounted in the front) and my boat attached and it squats the truck a bit. Does it improve you empty ride?

I did'nt get the airride but got the moryde RL system. You'll find the same suspension on some high end RVs both trailers and motorhomes. It is basically a large rubber shear spring which takes the place of the rear spring hanger. It really improves the ride both loaded and unloaded. Even if you add spring leafs to the stack this would not diminish ride quality since the moryde determines ride quality. The unit also allows you to raise or lower 1" in either direction when you install it. I have my truck pretty much loaded up to GVW when we go on trips pulling our TT so I been thinking about adding a leaf. Stu
