Got my G Tech today and weighed the truck. The truck goes 6980# with me (200#) in it, 1/2 tank of fuel, about 30# of misc. cargo, 50# bed mat, and additional weight of wheels and tires vs. oem.

The truck went 4200# fr axle and 2780# rear.

With only a Amsoil filter and 4" exhaust the truck will consistently go 0-60 in 8.8 or 8.9 and 1/4 mile in 16.9 or 17.0 at about 84 mph.

To me, this is nothing short of amazing for the weight, the size of the tires, and the fact that the fuel is 42 octane!

Does anyone else have similar info to compare?

I got similar G-tech results with my truck when it was stock. As I remember, 0-60 in 8.8 seconds with a normal start and 8.6 seconds with a light brake start.

However, with the 90hp Juice module, the 0-60 dropped to 6.8 seconds with a normal start. Times went up to 7.2 if I tried to brake start due to massive wheel spin through 1st, 2nd, and into 3rd.

Kennedy says that you can drop the times further by doing a brake start in 4wd. Don't have cajones that big....

Where do you get the G-Tech at? How does it work?
With my cap, ladders, tools and other assorted crap I carry daily, my truck ways around 7900lbs.
2 seconds difference w/ juice , hmm. I was waiting to see what the predator will do. I assume that was hot juice, correct?

WOW Dave, that's some serious good numbers.

Looks like we are similarly equipped except for the HOT JUICE. I am thinking about going with it and giving the "bull" a year to get the bugs out.

I can adjust my speedo with a VSS module from Superlift.

wild bore-

Got my G Tech on EBay for $69 slightly used. It works fine.

It is pretty simple to use, you need to weigh the truck for horsepower readings, align the unit per the instructions and push a button, it tells you when to GO.

I haven't tried the horsepower measurement, having too much fun with the 0-60 and 1/4 mile runs.

I did a 8.40 0-60 run as meassured with the G-Tech.

Here are the details of the run:

I don't recall if it was 6.30, or 6.03, but I believe the latter is the actual. This run was with Myself, More Power, and Tough Guy in the truck which scaled at 7400#

O.K., I gettin` excited with all this H.P. talk :D What is the defueling I hear about. Does the juice turn itself off when the trans shifts? If I get the newest version will all the quirks be taken care of?

wild bore-

But I wanna know.

Maybe JK or Mack will jump in.

I may have used the wrong words but read some posts that said something about defueling with juice. I just looked at JK`s web site, it did say that the box will limit power if it sences the trans slipping. I`m guessing that is it?

wild bore, Version 4.61 is the latest - no quirks that I am aware of!

wild bore and TraceF,
Defueling is the box backing off during the shifts to help save the transmission.

As for having the slowest POS Chevy, this is an easy fix!

Sack up and call JK and get yourself a HOT JUICE!

Blue oval - YEAH OK!!!

Forgot this was a G-Tech topic
5.98 - 60 actually I think it was 5.89 - can't remember
14.0 @ 103mph

I did not mean to discredit anybody. The question WAS asked:

"Does anyone else have similar info to compare?"

I DONT THINK YOU DID JOHN........I THINK ITS GREAT WHEN WE CAN POST WITH SOME LITEHEARTED HUMOR............I THINK IT HAS BEEN CONFUSED AT TIMES WITH HARRASHMENT.........DEFUELIN IS NECESSARY TO ALLOW THE ALLISON TO SHIFT WITHOUT DURESS..........ITS A NECESSARY EVIL BUT THE GAINS OUT WEIGH IT 500 PERCENT.........4.61 SEEMS TO BE THE BEST VERSION TO DATE.....EDGE HAS DONE AN EXCELLANT JOB AT PLEASING A TOUGH CROWD............TRACEF YOUR DMAX SEEMS TO BE RIGHT ON TARGET STOCK........PUT THOSE THOUGHTS OF BLUE OVALS AWAY ......... :D DAVE

I gained 2 seconds and 10 mph with the regular dose of Edge power. 17.3 to 15.3 and 78 to 88 mph. Was with my 3500. Bone stock.

My wife worked at the local FLM dealer for years and begged me for an LS (at dealer cost). There will be no Blue Oval in our drive way.

JK- in no way did I feel discredited. Dave was right, I was just cutting up. Thanks for telling your results.

I may be able to get to 8.5 or 8.6, I wasn't brake torqueing or anything and being alone I have to keep one eye down the road while waiting for GO to be sure I don't come up on one of them law dogs. With my luck the only other car on the road would be the trooper.

When I get my home addition finished I will be signing up for a refurb Hottie. Wanna grease me a couple of those imports you can't roll a beer can under.
