The "Got Gauges" article for 2002's is awesome but the won't help '03 owners as the fuse panel layout is different...GM decided to use cryptic acronyms as well.

I tried pulling fuses that seemed logical, but the dash lights stayed illuminated...so i'm still hunting. (not to mention i could have used the under-dash courtesy lights every time a fuse fell... some brainiack engineer decided could be removed to save a few $$$)

Any '03 owners find a good power source for gauges?

Funny you should ask as I just did the install this weekend. You are right, they changed things around a bit this year. I asked the same question about wiring and only a handfull responded and those were non- "03" owners. So I went at it myself and figured it out.

For power to the EGT gauge I picked it up at the fuse marked TBC ACCY (upper right corner of fuse panel). The owners manual gives a brief description of what each fuse does/is, ie: TBC = Truck Body Controller, ACCY = Accessory.

For lights you will have to tap into the headlight switch. I was a little nervous about doing this, but was really easy. Need to tap into the BROWN/WHITE wire. The face plate for dash comes off real easy by pulling straight bact at you. The headlight switch pops out and snaps back it.
The fuse TBC 2A provides power for dash lights, but not for controlling brightness. Checked this with a meter.

Hope this helps you out. :D
