www.ranchhand.com

TMG... being you live in Texas, you can make a trip down there to see if they have one of their "seconds". Usually scratched or something. You can also look up Brown Welding in New Braunsfels. They dont have a website, but have brochures they will send you.

I bought mine in Laredo (Front and rear). See signature.

LOL Stretch....

You should see all the trucks in South Texas (as in the Valley....Brownsville area). Trucks that DONT have them look funny. I would bet 80%+ of the trucks down there have some sort of bumper on the front. Even the commercial light duty trucks.

Good thing about these bumpers are that if you hit a deer, unless you undercut it, it should do MINIMAL if any damage to your vehicle. Our deer are stupid. :D

tmg115,
Ranchhand has a showroom in Irving off Spur 408 a little south of Texas Stadium. They have most everything in the showroom...I think they also have pics of trucks they have put 'em on.

stretch,
Hardware is a very imortant part of any truck in Texas...It is amazing what great protection it can give if forced to tangle with a small car or deer!!! :D

Stretch-

We sometimes hit things out here on these dark highways with little or no warning. Deer varmits can move real fast and swerving hard to miss is oftentimes a fools game.
Not long ago, I hit a doe with my 2500HD / full FE replacement bumper. She immediately went to pieces and only made a oversized bug splat to the truck. With a stock bumper, I likely would have had damage, and possibly flung the animal upward.
A side benefit is that traffic tends to yield to me a little better.

I HAVE A RANCH HAND ON MY GMC 3500. ITS A GRILL GUARD TYPE WITH THE EXPANDED METEL IN THE FRONT. THE DEALER INSTALLED IT. IT MOUNTS IN THREE PLACES TO THE PICKUP. VERY HEAVY DUTY, VERY STURDY MOUNTING SYSTEM. ABSOLUTELY NO VIBRATION WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. CAN'T SAY THE SAME FOR THE GRILL GUARD ON MY 93. IT MAKES YOU SICK IF YOU WATCH IT VIBRATE WHILE YOUR DRIVING. BEST OF ALL IT LOOKS COOL. :D

Feel lucky you only have to deal with 100-175lb deer. Try hitting a 800-1100lb moose. Ranchhand or not, there will be damage.

There will be damage but not near as bad with one of these bumpers. :D
