I was noticing that the center ribs in the roof of my crew cab don't come all the way forward like the outside ones do. Just like a suburban which my friend has with an optional sunroof. Has anyone installed a sunroof in a crew cab pickup? It would be great if a factory one would work but I bet the problem would be getting a headliner for this combo. I know there are many aftermarket sunroofs for other makes has anyone looked into this either? Just curious

Personally I would go with a sliding rag top. www.streatbeatcustoms.com sales them I believe. If you're worried about saftey, get a rollcage(which I would do anywayz at the thought of a 7klb truck sitting on just its roof, and pillars  )

Matt,
I inquired into getting a sunroof installed in my CC. But I couldn't find a shop that would do it. They all said that it "adversely affects the structural integrity of the truck". They will do EC's but not CC's.

My local Chevy dealer has a body shop here in town they like to recommend their customers go to for sunroof installations. They seem real pleased.
Even though I like the factory sunroof in my suburban, I do not have the guts to let someone cut a new hole in the roof of my pickup.

That is why I would install a roll cage. Personally I don't think the factory is all that great, so I'm gonna have a race car chassis fabricator weld in a full cage inside :D
