Has anyone heard anything about the shipping date for the Alcoa Hotshot wheels for the Dually? Seems everything is on hold again. I just checked with my dealer and he says he has heard nothing and American Eagle is saying the same thing.

My most recent email to Southwest Wheel on 05/20/02 asking for any updates on the Alcoa Hotshot wheels went unanswered...I'm sure they are tired of all the delays as well...

I remember someone posting a MAYBE date in July - but the year was not mentioned ;) :D

Hello guys,
I spoke to Alcoa back in May,at that time I was told end of June. I called today for an update,I was told end of July now. After asking whats the hold up? I was told they are redesigning it,but they wouldn't say for what.I'll call them closer to the end of July for an update and post. Hope this helps.

I saw a set of Weld wheels with stock tires on a new 3500 yesterday, so apparently they are available from Weld.

Good choice Maverick,
That's the way to go if you are going to haul or tow anything IMO....
Much better selection of tires also.

I am looking to buy new tires and rims this fall. If I go for 19.5's, am I going to add much height to the truck? Just wondering because if I am, I will have to get my gooseneck trailer leveled out again. Thanks

if you go with 19.50 wheels, you will be up sizing a bit..

if you go with the 225/70/19.5 tire, that is the same height as a 235/85/16 more or less..

if you go with the 245/70/19.5 tire [way  i think!] it will be

I have got Michelin XDE-MS 225/70-19.5. They are about 1" taller tire than a 215/85-16. If you split the difference I will raise my truck a whole massive 1/2 inch. Speedo will probably be right on now.

Spoke to Alcoa on 11/12/02. I was told they are shipping the Hot Shots for our 3500's. They said it will take about three weeks to get them to all the dealers.
