My drivers side heated feature quit working in March of this year. Called Lucerix and they said they need to send me out a new mirror, but they don't have any in stock so I will be put on the list. No problem I said. Well it is September 17th and I still don't have a mirror. I called today and talked to Guy over at Lucerix. Same frigging story....."we don't have any in stock but may be getting some more in 3 weeks or more". How does this company make money?

What does it take to get my mirror replaced!

If any dealers would like to help me out here I would appreciate it. I will pay the shipping of the new mirror.

Thanks.

They make money by selling mirrors with cheap parts that break and then not honor warranty claims.

If you send an email and cc the general manager, and also mention that others on "THE DIESEL PAGE" are interested in your problem you will get fast response. When they ignored me for over a month I sent a polite email and let a little more time go by. When still no response I did the above mentioned and got immeadiate response.

Maverick,

Should just be the glass that failed?

I have replacement glass in stock.

I have a similar waiting situation in that I have a mismatched pair (both RH) of pwr/htd here, and have received prs of new, but no mis-matched ones to fix my stock.

Aside form that, they have been pretty darn good about sending replacements and honoring warranty.

I bought my Lucerix mirrors through a local dealer here in Edmonton (Pioneer Hitches). The service has been excellent. I stripped a stud tightening one mirror and they replaced the mirror in three days with no questions asked.

Sorry to hear that you are not getting similar service.

Kennedy,

Is it true to take the glass off the mirror, you put a wedge in between the glass and the mirror on the side that faces the truck as opposed to the outside or the top or bottom side of the glass. Guy said it would just "pop" off. If this is how it comes off, I'll try to take it off and have a look on the back side.

Oh ya.....for those of you that are snow hungry, it did snow this morning in my town and in Anchorage. Snow in Turnagain Pass also. It did get warm by mid morning and melted. Its comming. Need my heated mirror.

Yes Maverick,

They have a plastic wedge that they send out. They sent me 3 or 4 and several glass sets.

Basically rotate all the way in at the top (because the head will go there anyhow, and gently pry up. You can also look and see if the wires are still plugged in at the connection near the upper/outer corner.

Maverick:

If you want to e. mail me at Gyrrubber@aol.com. I will give you the manufactures phone number and you can contact them to see why your mirrors are backordered. How long it will take to get them to Lucerix.

I had slow service with them but did get a replacement glass after 4 phone calls and a two month wait. I guess demand is exceeding just exceeding supply.

They supplied the 'wedge' for the glass removal.

You know I hate to play the "gender card" here, but there is now a woman in charge of customer service (Marcy) and it sure seems like thing are off to a good start!!! So far it's been "ask and ye shall receive" as all of my long standing issues have been promptly addressed.

I am not happy and nothing is being done to adress problem. I am talking about the angle of the pass. side mirror when mounted. Have a vibration problem with same mirror and no help their either. Contacted them and they said talk to dealer, no help their either.

I think there was another thread about this angle thing. There is nothing wrong with the mirror. It is at a different angle than the drivers mirror. Otherwise you can't adjust the mirror to see correctly. As far as the vibration?? I think some of the mirrors had a loose glass. There is also a little vibration in the mirror that is not there with the stock unit. The thing is so much bigger than stock it has to shake a little in the airflow.
