Hey guys, I have been looking for a factory front bumper for my D-Max. I had a grill guard bolted on mine, but I don't like the piece of junk. The more I see trucks that don't have grill guards the more I want to take mine off. I want to see that bold hood and grill, and all my grill guard does is hide it. If I hit something this grill won't stop it anyway. The only problem is that if I take it off, I'm left with drilled holes in the chrome of my bumper. If anyone has a replacement grill guard and has their old factory bumper just laying in the garage, let me know. I would be interested in buying it.
Thanks.

I have alike new front assemby from my 2001 Chevy that is available. It is the complete assembly, bumper, fog lights, air dam. I removed it when I installed my RanchHand unit.

If you are interested post your e-mail address and we can discuss it. Shipping may be a problem due to the size, not weight.

A couple chrome plated carriage bolts/nuts to blank the holes is a lot cheaper than an new bumper. I've done this in the past when I switched grill guard brands. It's not unsightly in the least. Try it. The price is right and you can always put the guard back in the future without any problem.

gregmican,

I would try a local auto parts store. In the HELP displays there are little packages with small parts, clips etc. Look for black plastic push in clips, like the one's that hold on the flares and the front wheel wells. I have seen them come in pretty big sizes. Anyway i took a grill guard off a suburban I had and that's how I fixed it, and for under $10.00 to boot!!!

Good Luck
