I'd like to increase my Diesel fuel capacity as 26 gallon on my 2003 D/A SB doesn't go far pulling my rig.

I'm familiar with TransferFlows products, but I'm hopeing that there is a better value solution out there. So let me know what you have and how you like it.

I have the American Tank (www.auxtank.com) auxiliary in my bed (photos in my PICS link). It was $948 for the 40 gallon kit, but the kit was complete with all hoses, tools, clamps, wiring harness and hardware and easy to self-install. Not a super bargain over the transferflow offerings, but a great product well supported at some savings. There are many more less costly options in toolbox and bed tanks, but you get only a tank and you are on your own as to connections and installation.

Web,

I too have a tank from AUXTANK,COM. It works very well. I had one in my '01 2500 short bed and am now installing the same unit in my '04 3500. I know the supplier here in San Antonio and he could save you a bit on the retail price. Where are you located?

Good luck,
Bob

I bought a 60 gallon aux tank/toolbox combo from Harbor freight. I like it alot but you'll have to come up with own plumbing lines and fittings. They also have 45 and 90 gal versions.

I got the TransferFlow 70 gal. and am very pleased. Paid about $800, includeing bezel and connection to camper shell and never regretted it. I can fill at lower cost truck stops, and the system works completely automatic. Begins to fill when fuel gauge is at one-half and fills until the fuel in the OEM tank reaches three-quarters. Add STP diesel fuel conditioner each time I fill the aux tank. Installation directions are very clear and only took a few hours to install.

Hi Web

This what I did ,also my Brother.
We went to a old Junk yard, where they had old pickups, you know behind the seat Tanks. They never see the Sun, so no Rust etc. We stood them up accross the front,of the bed, plumbed them over and down through the left cornner. Taped into the metel filler neck , go to Autozone etc. Buy a elect. pump, and switch and you have 19 extra Gals. without taking up a lot of your Bed space.
You can put a inline shut off in,as my Bro. as trouble in the Hot Months with it gravity feeding.
I had this set up on 2 D ges and now on my 01 3500 CC LB Duramax. Less then $100, for the whole works.
