Just installed Extang's Classic Platinum Tonneau cover. Installing the frame was a snap but at 32 degrees F trying to get the cover snapped on was madening. It was easier the first time me and my first girlfriend got frisky :D . If anyone knows an easier way to get a soft cover snapped on in cold weather I'd love to know about it. Still can't snap the last 4 rear snaps.

I would think if you can get it into a heated garage would help you with streching it.

Good Luck

If you can't get into a garage I have put a small heater in the bed and shut the tailgate for a bit and that worked .

There are a few things that may help to make it a "little" easier.
Make sure all the snaps are in the Loose position.
When I install the (3) cross braces, I put them on the lower position. This allows the tarp to have a little less tention on it.
When snapping the tail gate section start in the middle and push the bar in-ward to snap it. Then work your way out-ward towards the corners. When you let it spring back the tention helps to stretch the tarp.
The hardest part are the corners that's for sure. Try your best not to leave them undone. I did on my old truck and the tarp started to crack. Installing it in a garage makes a huge difference.
I hope this helps. I haven't found a way that makes it much easier then this.

I gave up on soft tonneaus. I went ahead and bought a hard cover from k covers out of texas. I have had it on my truck for about a month and I love it. There is no tugging or pulling to get it to reattache their site is .www.kcovers.com Check it out they put out a great product and the people are very friendly. ;)

I've also got an Extang and have had to take the cross braces out completely to snap the cover in place and then put them in after the snaps are on.

Thanks Guys,
I used a combination of your different suggestions (except the heated garage my truck won't fit into mine-guess I got to buy a bigger house for my truck :D )and I happily got all the snaps secured.

I am trying the same excuse about the bigger house complete with a heated garage and the better half isn't going for it yet.

Hey Guys,
Always snap the corners first, then do the sides, then the back. If you can bring the cover in the house for a few minutes that will help, or put it in the dryer for a few minutes on med. heat but be careful it does't get to hot. You can also use a heat gun in the bed with the tailgate close or a hairdryer.
