Just a little info for those who have not and those who don't know.

I was speaking to a fella the other day about his new D-Max. He was complaining about how the mirrors turned down wayyy too much when he used reverse. -- I showed him that they are "programable" to position. Just put the truck in reverse and "adjust" the mirror to the position you want, wha-la.
Heck, I didn't know myself until I messed with them.

You can also use the directional control to automatically fold both mirrors in. Try that at 3AM in the mountains. Talk about waking you up!

"You can also use the directional control to automatically fold both mirrors in. "

One of our other vehicles has this feature. It is always worth a laugh for us when you fold them up at the stoplight. The people that like to stare always get a priceless expression when they fold up. ;)

Mine folded in when I inadvertently hit the control at a stop light. Didn't know they did that. Had to wait until I got home and read the manual to figure out how to get them back out.

It is my understanding that the camper mirrors will not fold in even if using the directional signal. Is this correct?

The 03 camper mirrors do NOT have the automatic fold in feature, but they can be folded back or forward manually. The power extend (in-out) feature of the camper mirrors is really nice!

Ive got a question. I have the power extending mirrors. My problem is my readout on the display in the dash does not list curb assist. So in a nother words thay dont point down when in reverse. The book says thay do. But thay dont. The book says it is listed in the d.i.c. in the dash. But its not. I wish I had them. I have to put them down every time I back up. Does any body else have this situation.

Ok, here ya go.

Get in truck, place key in hole and turn to on. Press the driver 1 button on the door. Use the list button on the wheel to scroll in program. The other wheel buttons will turn on or off the mirrors. Do this for driver 2 as well. Shoot back if all is not well.

It doesnt even give me the option in the scroll to turn mirrors on and off.

Heck 6 months of owning this truck and the mirrors move for you when you go to reverse!!! I knew about the power folding(by accident) but now I'm dying to go out and try the backup placement of the mirrors!

hmmm... What other cool features do I have but not yet know about

I do like that feature of "auto" adjust on the mirrors. I like being able to set which alarm the truck will use be it the horn & lights, lights only, horn only or off. The timers on the headlights are nice. I tend to up it about a minute in the winter. All the new buttons are really cool  The only gripe I have is the position of the heated seat switch. I'm always hitting it. It would be nice if they had just moved it forward about 3 or 4 inches, at least out of the "window switch" area.

Burner,

Your handle is exactly what happens to my buns when I accidently hit the bun warmer buttons with my forearm. I totally agree those buttons are in the WRONG place!

Duramonster- My manual says you don't get auto turndown mirrors unless you have the power bucket seats with the program feature. I have the power bench seat and no auto turndown...

I do have full power seats. There heated leather and everything. The truck is loaded with every option avaliable. My mirrors dont move with the memory seats with driver 1 & 2 either.
