I just installed my new running boards today. It took about 4 1/2 hr to complete. What a job! I'm getting too old for this! But, it's done and they look really nice!

The hardware and instructions WAYYYY sucked though. We trudged through the instructions and scratched our heads long enough to form a bald spot. We ended up doing it with our own hardware and them things wouldn't come off if Roseanne Barr stood on them!

The product quality and fit was excellent! They came in packaging that was well thought out. Now, if they could have put as much thought into the instructions and hardware... I would have been in total disbelief! By the way... I know you are probably wondering if I'm going to mention the brand name. But if I do, this note would most likely be dropped. So, I won't come on trying to sound I'm promoting a product. But maybe if I was asked... I might be able to tell of a good product in my own opinion.

I'll bite. What brand of boards did you install? Sounds alot like J&J's with the crappy instructions you mention. Maybe just add them to your sig and it's all good.

AKDmax: No, actually they were StarBoards running boards. They are fiberglass molded fit and really accents the truck, and it hides the frames under the truck. I don't even see them anymore. I LIKE IT!

I have boards from Owens and would recommend them:
http://www.owens-pro.com/
Mine look like the ones on the website except I have the rear board for the dually wheels.

Those look nice. Were they easy to install? I checked out the bracketry and it seems pretty easy. They attach to the body instead of the frame. Did you get the fiberglass ones?
I swear, I looked all over the internet, using "running boards" as the hit word and I never ran into the Owens site. How much did they run you? Mine were $529, but the real surprize was the hidden shippng and handling cost! Well I like them anyway. They are well built and clean.
