I believe that there are options for soft and hard torreau bed covers, and also for black and chrome step tubes when ordering the truck. Did you know that? If you ordered them with the truck, the dealer will have to install them once they come in your dealer lot. I don't have either of them, but if I were to, I probably would stop by at GM part dept and get them.

As for brake controller, I have Jordan Ultima 2020 and this is the best brake controller out there in my opinion. It is proportional, meaning it gives out a specific number of amps to the trailer brakes depending on how much brake you are applying on the pedal. In that case, you have much smoother and more stable ride/tow. I know that some several members have Tekroski brake controller and said that they are pretty good too.

As for mud flaps, I have the GM molded flaps but never installed them yet. It looks ok to me but I am not sure if I will install them. It seems that alot of members here like Husky molded flaps and Kaydenco heavy duty flaps.

Hope this will help you, and congrats on your new truck! :D

Thank guys,

I like the concept of the brake controller that actually measures pedal travel.

I ordered the factory soft bed cover. For $180 it sounds like a good deal.

Husky mud guards sound like the way to go.

The Husky liners on the floor will catch and HOLD the slush, salt, and dirt from your feet...

I've never tried a Jordan, but to me, a mechanical cable is quite archaic. I run the Tekonsha Prodigy, which works pretty well. I would think that in this day/age of technology, someone could monitor brake psi at the master cylinder, and modulate brake controller output based on this signal. Kinda like the old controllers only with a low volume transducer calling the shots...

I don't imagine you can order the truck with a sprayed-in bedliner, but it was the 1st thing I got done after getting mine. I went to Line-x. And I would get the wheel wells done at the same time.

Hi John,

I would think that in this day/age of technology, someone could monitor brake psi at the master cylinder, and modulate brake controller output based on this signal. Kinda like the old controllers only with a low volume transducer calling the shots...

That is exactly what the "Brake Smart" controller from Brake Master does. A small tee installed at the master cylinder provides all the data it needs. The volume is so small it does not interfere with the ABS System either.

If this thing does what it claims...

Line X will be one of my first stops. That was a given. That Masterbrake system looks pretty cool as well!

Kennedy - do you sell the Husky products. If not, who has the best prices on mud flaps and carpet mats.

Thanks guys,

Steve

I haven't pursued the Husky line for lack of time/resources,(maybe some day) but the liners sure are nice!

Not sure where to send you as I bought from one of my suppliers.
