Has anyone installed the Ventshade Quick-snap ventvisors? The idea sounds good on paper. No adhesive to turn loose in a few years, unit just snaps in window track. However, I know that good ideas on paper sometimes turn out to be less than stellar in the real world.

Curious if anyone has installed these and what kind of luck are you having. My fear is you put the window down at 70MPH and the ventshade goes flying out.

Thanks,
MaxRock

I have them. Been on a little over a year. Takes about 30 seconds to install and that's being careful. Passenger side one intrudes on the mirror about an inch. Even though it's somewhat clear, it is still annoying to look through or around when you're trying to use the mirror. I did remove that side for a while, but the temperature difference inside the truck was pretty noticeable with just one on. I've been tempted to put the dremel to it, but just haven't gotten around to it yet. Also the window seal on both sides has a hole in it now. Don't know what the long term effects are. IMHO, compared to the tape on ones, these look much better and I have put the window down without a problem. Unless the hole in the seal gets bigger, it does have to bend a bit to be removed so I wouldn't worry about that.

On Edit - Just noticed you said Ventshade. I have the Weathertech ones so my comments are on that brand.

Had the Ventshades and one broke. Then tried the EGR which would not fit at all. Then the Drawtite which were pretty good. Now have the WeatherTech which cost a bit more but quality and fit are far superior than the other types. They are a bit thicker, nicely finished edges and they sit a bit closer to the window. I would give these a good look............ smile.gif

I also have the Weathertech version and have had no problems. Only comment is that, since these fit between the window and window channel, extremely dusty conditions may result in some nasty scratching sounds when opening/closing the window. However, I have not seen any scratches develop on the glass yet.

Just bought the Weathertechs today. Pretty slick the way they fit in. So far so good.
