They just don't last. Do they?

For traditional type blades, I've found that Rain-X brand last about twice that of Anco, Bosch, or the rest of the major brands. I won't even talk about those off-brands.

The best blades I've ever used are TripleEdge. Walmart just started carrying them around here, again. I still have a pair on my '85 that I installed about 10 years ago that still work as good as any of the new, traditional types. They are silicone, not rubber like the rest. Even without being used for entire summers (100

Well in 400k miles I have changed a few. About 3 months ago, I put on a set of Bosch wiper blades. Not sure of which ones, they have 3. Just look for the most expensive ones ($25 a set). They work better than any I have had before. Quiet, no streaking. Have been on about 30k miles & a lot of rain . Auto Zone has them.

I put on a set of PIAA wiper blades about 2 years ago. I don't remember the exact cost, but I do remember that they were more expensive than most other brands... I will be a repeat customer :D

I like the triple edge blades from walmart also. I've not had them long but they sure do work good.

My 2002 with 36,000 miles still has the original blades and they still wipe like new. Many people throw away good blades because they don't think to clean them. The blades build up dirt and oily deposits just like any other part and they don't work well when they are dirty.

Wipe the blade surface with an alcohol pad or moist towelette. It can do wonders for the blades ability to clean the windwhield. You'll be surprised how long the the blades will actually last when they are clean.

I have Michelins on my 2002, but a guy has to wonder how many mfr's of these there really are...

While working for the Fire Department I used to replace wipers as soon as they started to leave streaks, safety was the name of our game as we pushed the limits during a response. The margin of safety and reliability saved costly accidents!
