Anyone use them as a source of parts and accessories ??
www.gmpartsdirect.com

Prices are reasonable, shipping and handling well that's another story....Trying to save the consumer money on the parts, what a double standard.....Duh !!!!!

No phone calls ?? redface.gif
Anyone have a problem returning anything ??

There are a couple things I'm interested in, looking for some feedback...

I've placed several orders with them - quick shipping, good prices. I agree with you on shipping - even when you order several items they can ship together, they charge the same shipping on each item as if they were to ship them separately, then ship them to you in the same box. Even with that, they're still cheaper than buying wholesale at my dealer where I get 20 - 25% off. Saving our great state's 6.5% sales tax factors in, too.

Never tried to return anything yet - haven't had to.

MAC, I haven't done business with these guys, but I'm here to tell you not to use Auto Parts For Less. Talk about no return phone calls. I've had a 130A alternator on order with them for over two months now...

I've dealt with GMPartsdirect many times. Shipping sometimes can be a little high on single small items but they are fast and reputable.

They basically are a GM parts dealer that sells wholesale to the public. You can't beat the prices. Next time you need something from a stealer, key the part number in their site. They usually are close to half price. Shipping is fast.

I get my oil filters and almost all my GM parts from them.

Try Sam Taylor Buick Cadillac.
I've found their parts to be the same price as gmpartsdirect, and their shipping is more reasonable.

Jason Cromer is a good guy, and is on top of things.

Maybe it is just me, but I have a heck of a time using the search feature on GM Parts Direct. It seems like you have to know the part number in advance. Just seems like kind of a pain. I have had good luck with CarParts.com with my gaser. Fast shipping, good search feature. AC Delco tune-up parts were about 1/2 price.

I have used gmpartsdirect with good luck but have not dealt with a return. I agree that it's almost a must that you know the part number.

I've used them recently because they seemed to have a turnaround on their shipping pricing policy. Perhaps they got the message.

I have used 'em with no problems, but they don't always have the best price....take the NBSU for example...

stealer...$150
GMPD...$75
Stewart and Stevenson (Allison Parts/Service Ctr)...$50

Mackin:

I have used them several times. They are great! good prices, fast service. What else can you ask for. I will buy from them again.

I was a bit sheepish with the fact you cannot if you wanted to call and talk to an individual if need be.....

But I have saved all of your "names" and gone ahead and ordered parts on your recommendations..... ;)

If all goes smooth your of the hook ..... If not  .....

Thanks gents for the info......

Mackin,I just bought all the parts to install ODLO on my `02 and the dealer was only $8.00 more than gmpartsdirect. I got the parts in 4 days and I knew there would be no problem if a return had to be made. I`m installing the parts and the dealer will do the ECM and TCM updates. I wasn`t sure about returning parts to gmpartsdirect if I had to and I couldn`t find a phone # for them on their website. Does anyone know if they have a phone # we could call?

Fordpuckett,

Your signature references an under seat storage box. Could you elaborate? Have not heard any reference to such an animal before.

Thanks!

TG,
Here is a link to some pics of my under seat storage box.

It is a GMC box that is avaliable at your dealer. There was a price goof when they first came out. I got mine for $37 bucks. They are now $400 and higher. The part number is in my pics also if you want to price one from your dealer. It is avaliable for the EXT CAB only. No crews.

c5dura,
Need a good price on an alt? Try this place. I got a 100% brand new 105 amp for my Duramax for $166 plus shipping.
