I just traded my 98 dooley for an 02 2500HD Crew D/A SRW. I know with a dooley you a little more rubber on the road when towing. I haven't towed yet with the 2500HD. Now I have 2 pull behind trailers with the weight dist bars and sway control set up. My question is will I or should I invest in a rear sway bar for the rear suspension on the HD or will I be ok with what I have right now.

Hello ATVPILOT
What type of trailer are we talking about?
Camper,utility?
I sometimes pull 11,000 generator built on
twin axles But it's well balanced and not a large profile.
Campers are a different story,Sometimes you end
up with a lot of weight forward or worse rearward and combine with wind shear from large profile
camper you can get major sway.

Atvpilot,
I don't think you will "need" one, but for a small price it will make your truck corner like it is on rails.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the input. I haul my atv's in a 22 ft enclosed Haulmark trailer with tandem axles or a 30 ft pull behind camper trailer with a single slide. I guess maybe I will add the rear sway bar to my wish list. Thanks again. :D  smile.gif

I had an anti-sway bar (Helwig) on my 2001 2500HD and really liked it. I carry a camper with a slide (very heavy) and it made a huge difference on swaying issues, especially when in the wind. It also helped with cornering, as Cardiac mentioned. I have one on order for the new truck smile.gif

Cheers,
