Pulled a couple of quotes from the "mydieselstopped" forum. Good for a laugh or two.
Quotes:
"There are two kinds of 6.0s The ones with the Bell Housing leak and the ones that are going to have the leak. What you need to do is take you truck in and have them put in the updated rear main which is basically a rear main with a wear sleeve. That has worked on two trucks for me so with any luck it will work on yours."
"All I can tell the doubters is this. Go around like I have been doing and check new trucks at differnt dealers or ask people you see with 6.0s in parking lots or gas stations and you add up the numbers. way way over 50%. I would say at least 75 to 80%. I dont think ford knows how big of a problem they have because alot of owners dont know about this site and dont look under thier trucks."
There must have been 20 or more members that chimed in with their experiences with leaks.
