Can anyone tell me what the silencer ring is and where it is on a 2002 Dodge Cummins. Is it similar to GM's snorkel in the 6.5 and can it be removed easily. Dave W.

westberg,
I can't tell you exactly where it is, but I can do one better. You should email my friend. Here is his email addy Amianthus@sprynet.com he's in your neighborhood. While you're at it see about joining some of the WI TDR members next time they get together. Amianthus can hook you on this too. Just tell him that guy with Duramax sent you. Hope this helps you out.

Pull of the hose going to the turbo in side you will see a snap ring pop it out W/ a screwdriver and the ring will fall out not any performance advantages but sure will make it louder allot louder with a scotty or BHAF

What is a scotty or a BAHF and how will it sound with only the resonator on? My 6.5 has a straight through muffler and the turbo sings sweet.

Scotty is a Psychotty air system look at http://www.performancediesel.net/ for it and the BHAF (big honkin' air filter) is basicly a truck filter on a special mount both work well I prefer the BHAF both sound good but the scotty pulls air from the cowel and it can get aggravating on long road trips

They talked about an ME kit on the TDR for removing the muffler and leaving the resonator on. Does anyone know who sells it and how to contact the? Thanks!
