At MSN.com they have the Top 10 Gas Guzzlers listed by the EPA. Out of those 10, 7 were GM products. No diesels were mentioned.

Why do you think that is?

I thought that all auto makers were subject to an "over all" MPG? Say you take the GEO @ 50 MPG and the Burb @ 15 MPG and add them together and divide by the nuber of cars. 50 + 15 = 65; 65/2 = 32.5 I think that is the way they do it?

Maybe GM makes more cars and trucks than anyone? That would put them at the top of the guzzler list.

That list is so bogus. All 7 GM vehicles mentioned are based on the GMT 800 platform and use the 5.3L V-8. They should have just lumped them all together as number 2 and come up with the next 7 vehicles. Plus they only measure vehicles under 8500 GVWR. If they went above that, F**d Excursion would be right at the top, too. And they list some of GM's trucks as running alternative fuels. How many trucks are run like that? 1%? Just pure greenie propoganda.

May be the EPA should start going after all those remote starters, can't do much for a cars gas mileage when it spends 1/2 hour warming up every morning. Go down my road and see all these cars with snow piled up on them with exhaust vapor coming out the tailpipe, waiting for the heater to melt off the snow. Incredible!!

My brother's friends have Ford Broncos. Every time they got near a gas station they have to go in and get gas. They go somewere, and before they go they have to get gas. And when they are ready to go home they have to get gas. Thats why I got a Diesel, so I will not have to refill at every gas station. tongue.gif
