Need more power

A freind of mine has a motor home with a 330 Cat in it and needs more power. Anyone know of any power adders for that engine?

I assume by 330 Cat, you are talking about a 330hp Cat 3126... If that is the case, then as far as I know your friend may be out of luck. As I recall, those motors are governed at 2400rpm (the 330hp model may get to 2500-2600rpm) and use a HEUI injection system similar to the 7.3L PSD. That means only a reflash of the PCM can increase fueling, and I think Caterpillar is pretty tight on protection in that area. Maybe there is an aftermarket company offering a reflash? I don't know about that... Good luck.

Go to http://www.pittsburghpower.com/ they have power upgrades for the OTR Cummins and Cats. If there is a power increase for that engine they will know about it.
