Hi All Just a question about oil. I just bought a "94" Case skid loader with about 1800 not rough hrs. Do you think its too late for synthetic oil? Would I be Ok with a blend? I'm using Mobil synthetic in my Duramax, my wife's car and all the newer air cooled engines around here. Regular oil in everything else that had miles on it when was Turned on to synthetics by you all. Thanx for all the good advice I've received from you guys the last few years. jim

1800 hours really isn't a lot, I'd go ahead and give synthetic a try. It's not going to hurt anything, but you may or may not see real benefits. Assuming you'd normally change the oil at 250 hour intervals, I'd send in a sample then and specifically mention that it was running dino before and this is the first use of synthetic. They may or may not be able to give you a recommendation as to how long you can go between changes.
