Holset turbo interchangeability

Sooo... say I have an H1C and want it wastegated...can I put the turbine housing off a WH1C to do the deal? What about the turbine housing off of an HX35W? Of course, after reading some posts by grape in the 6.2 forum, I may just want to go with an external wastegate anyway. I think, however, that I may be able to get the exh. housing for less on eBay than an external 'gate. Ya get what ya pays fer right?

See if it fits w/o making housing contact.

A internal wastegate is much more reliable and consistent than a external wastegate. I have used too many external wastegates and they can be a real pain when they stick!
