Transfer case leaking ????

I looked at the truck this morning and noticed oil dripping off the rear axle so I got under the truck and followed the oil path to the transfer case. I had just changed the transfer case fluid a while back and filled it to the bottom of the fill hole. Is that to full ? It looked as tho the fluid expanded after an extended drive and just pushed out where the transfer case is bolted together. So I drained a little out and hoped that would solve it. I thot the transfer case has a vent but I could'nt find one. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It sounds to me like what you did was an acceptible means to an end. Just make sure no more leaks out, or you may have to put more in.
