Changed the lube in my outboard lower unit. Found a Penzoil synthetic 75w-90 marine that meets GL-5 at Wally World for 6.57/qt. Wonder if it wouldn't work just as well in our rear diffs?

red line,amsoil....is the way to go! I am not to sure about any marine oils if I would use them.. I know redline is GL-5+,6,mil-spec,SAE rated....I has to be good stuff to carry all these rateing

Depends on where you drive. If you live in the bayou, and drive through the swamp all day, sure. Other than that, I think it could be a serious mistake using an oil that is not designed for the use. Marine lubes are not expected to see the temp. extremes seen out of the water.

I can see it now. "I drove my new truck into the lake today. It's OK, though. I had marine lube in it." :D

Go with the Red Line. It's available at Summit Racing online. P.S. If you doing a lot of towing, go with the 80W 140.
