EGT Guage Question?

I bought Autometer guages and am getting ready to install the EGT. I am going to use the "Hoot Postition" but need help understanding what all the misc. parts that came with the guages are for. If I install it in the "Hoot" postion all I need to do is drill and tap correct? I dont need or use the band clamp? Just want to make sure I dont screw this up. Did you use anti sieze on the thread of the probe?

If you install the probe "hootie style", you will not need the band clamp or the collar (if there is one).

Drill and tap the manifold, screw in the compression fitting (use anti seize on the threads), and install the probe (use anti sieze again).

That should do it.
