Mag-Hytec Cover and Maintance

Just got done spending the morning installing a Mag-Hytec diff cover and filling with new "grape juice." The cover is quite nice, and holds about 7.5 quarts.

I also changed the Allison spin on filter, and the front diff lube. What is with the mustard? Also, my magnent had a tremendous amount of metal shavings on it!!

I was going to do the T-case as well, but it is time to go Wakeboarding!! :cool: :cool:

That's what the magnet is for! Better there than in the trans. Who knows what that stuff came from. More than likely it's just manufacturing chips.

I got the Mag cover too but decided to save a few bucks and went with Red Line 100% synthetic at $10 a quart instead of $18.

I don't think anyone knows why the front dif fluid is yellow. I think it could be to see if you ever changed it. Same with the rear being grape.
