I'm about to replace the thermostat in my 96 3500 6.5L (must be stuck open - temp is below 160) and wondering about how much needs to be removed to get the housing off. Do I need to take off the serp belt, move the a/c compressor in addition to disconnecting the upper radiator hose and water pump hose? Anything else need to be removed? Is there a diagram on this site or elsewhere I can refer to?

Thanks very much.

Do You have the '97 cooling mods? If not then I think it is pretty easy, just remove the housing that the upper rad hose connects to. It is a little more difficult with the dual t-stats since the bolts are a little harder to get out.
