Tires, need your opinion

I just retired my 94 k3500 6.5 diesel and bought a used 2001, 2500HD, 4x4, 8.1 liter with the allison trans. The original owner has installed larger tires witch are LT285/75-16 load range D. The tires look awesome on this truck. Truck has a factory body lift so it needs something to fill the fender wells. The tires are the BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A. They still have about 3/8 of tread let on them. Should I leave them on and reprogram the computer or go with smaller tire? There seems to be a lot of discusion on this topic so please give me your opinion.

I guess that would depend on how it performs and what you plan to do with the truck. I don't care for body lifts especially if they affect shroud placement. This can affect cooling etc.

What you choose fore tires is up to you, but personally, I dislike the MT type lug tires due to noise and vibration...

I didn't lift the truck, it came from factory with body lift of I think about 1 1/2 inches.(According to RPO code). I use the truck as a daily driver to work and pull a 31 foot camper about 4 times a year.
