I saw it will be available for the 1500HD but not the 2500HD or 3500. You can bet the price will be high. Can you imagine a 4 wheel steer dually?

Not on the 2003's. I guess they don't want to bite off more than they can chew the first year.

Cost is around $6,000. Includes 4-WHEEL STEERING -inc: pickup box w/flared fenders, roof marker/fender flare lamps, limited slip differential, 71" rear track width, 145 amp alternator, HD disc brakes, ride control suspension, HD tra -- Code: NYS

We are in two different boats-lol-with traffic and slow going...I can't use the power I have now! But, I would sure like easier maneuverability in the shrinking parking lots that I have to navigate. The closer to an ER you get, the smaller the space they leave you to drive. With the cost of land/concrete/asphalt, people make everything as space-conscious as physically possible. I HATE trying to get in and then have to backup and pull forward to get out again! I put off buying for a year to get this one option. Oh well..."we're just alike--we're all different".

I don't know where you got the $6000.00 price tag from but here's a quote from a PickupTruck.com article:
"Quadrasteer is the second major underbody enhancement, available on both Silverado and Sierra 1500 extended cab and 1500HD crew cab pickups, though it first debuted exclusively on the 2002 Sierra Denali. It effectively reduces the turning radius of an extended cab full size pickup to just larger than that of a Saturn two door coupe, Quadrasteer independently turns the front and rear wheels in the same or opposite directions depending on the speed and driving situation of the truck. "

"The acceptance rate of Quadrasteer is as high as any other technology GM has ever introduced", according to White. "With this technology GM has a two year head start over the competition." The only cost associated with system, aside with the $1500+ price, is that Quadrasteer currently forces an increase in the rear width of the truck but, according to White, "sometime in the future there will be no width penalty."

I hope your wrong on that number, I don't think too many people will plunk down 6 grand for steering enhancments. $1500.00, I think they will sell plenty.

you can rest easy. Txdoc was wrong on his price for quadrasteer. but no too much wrong. pickemup.com or whatever was reeeeeeally wrong on their price. Hot off the KBB pricing guide. Option NYS Steering package exactly as described by TxDoc retails at $5,225.00.
I did figure it out, cost savings wise.
With the quadrasteer, you can pull into a parking space lickety split in one try. In a regular old truck it takes two, thereby wasting fuel. The break even point at 1.23 gal is 57,000,000,000,000 parking manuevers.

Uncle T,
You for to take into account if you are performing these parking manuevers with the JUICE...it would only take about 53,549,879,102,001 parking manuevers to pay for itself...I guess we could also take tire wear/cost into account if the JUICE is optimized!!! :D

Why would someone with the 2500HD or 3500 want the dana 60? when the one you have now is as strong as the dana 80. They are going to have to build a much bigger rear differential for the 2500HD and 3500 trucks.

The 1/2 ton truck I looked at that had it was listed at $5700 and something for that option. It needs to come down in the $2000 range in order to be a big success.
