Hi! Just wondering if anyone has had to replace the tow/haul switch. I had mine replaced last week.........what a shock! Just over $300.00 :mad: :mad: can.installed( part only $ 175.00)
The switch & gear shift lever assembly one pc. I Told service dept to keep the old lever. All that was wrong was the wire had broke off about 2" from the point of entry into the lever. The wire GM. uses is quite stiff, not a great idea when it has to bend hundreds of times. I repaired the break by splicing in a 3" peice of very flexible wire. Now I'm waiting for the new one to fail as I'm sure it will, then I'll have a good one ready to go. Hope this helps someone out there. :D
