Drive Shaft / BIG SMILE

At work, a few months back I was out in the parking lot with a co-worker.He owns a 01 Ford 250 Powerstroke.He was looking over and under my truck and said is that your muffler? I just smiled and said no it's my drive shaft.

Just saw a new 2500 DA EC LB in Duramax school, off the factory carrier about 24 hours, had a steel driveshaft just like old times. bob ...

My 2001 EC/SB came with a one-piece steel drive shaft. I was pretty surprised the first time that I saw one of the aluminum "torpedos" under another EC/SB! :eek:

I think Ex Cabs get the One piece aluminum.

Mine is the Crew Cab and has a 2 piece steel shaft, but then again I have the ZF tranny, too.

My 03 Crew Cab Short Box with the Allison has the aluminum one-piece DS ... must be the ZF's get the two-piece DS (??)...
