Heated Mirrors?!

I have a 2001 2500 HD Duramax. Supposedly I have heated side mirrors but can't get them to work. I hit the rear-window defrost button and it will melt the ice but the side mirrors do zilch. Any info or troubleshooting tips? Its about 2f here in CO today so I'd really like to get those suckers to work.

Id start checking fuses

The mirrors are problematic. There are plenty of people here, myself included, who have had the heated mirrors replaced under warranty.
