I have reached the 10k mark and looking to do oil, fuel filter, rotate tires, etc. etc. this weekend. I would also like to lube the chassis. I hear there are at least 11 grease points on the truck, anyone have a printout of the locations.

Ya, I know the obvious ones but there always seems to be one or two that the factory hides and might get missed. I don

Nathan,

Here they are..........

Chasis Lube Points/Zerk Fitting Locations

The 11 fittings on the trucks

2 - Upper ball joints
2 - Lower ball joints
2 - Outer tie rod ends
2 - Inner tie rod ends
2 - Idler arm (one on top and one on the ball joint)
1 - Pittman arm

It is easy to miss one of the two on the idler arm assembly.

One of TDP members has photos of them on his website, but I don't remember who :(

Yes there are 11 and if you have the skid plates, two of them will be very hard to get at without removing that front sheild. Someone here does have pics of all the fittings. If you do a search you should come accross it. :D :D :D

I would recommend greasing at every oil change.

Thanks All,

that helps a lot but a diagram from a Helms would be really great :D :D

Hoot,

I agree, and follow the lube at every change practice. The dealer did the first two for me free. One a 1K and the other at 6k. I'm changing early to keep the numbers at every 5K so the old gray matter wont have to work too hard to remember ;)

Oh....also going to Mobil Delvac1.

What pizzes me off is I ordered a Fumoto valve when I got my exhaust from JK. Now I cant find the darn thing
