HI GUY'S,
I POSTED A MESSAGE ABOUT A NOISE IN A 11.5 INCH DIFFRENTIAL. I FOUND OUT THAT I HAVE A 10.5 INCHER. I HAVE A NOISE IN THIS THING THAT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS COMMING FROM THE TRANS OR REAR DIFF. THE NOISE IS ONLY WHEN LOADED OR PULLING A CAMPER, BETWEEN ABOUT 52 AND 64 MPH. THIS NOISE CHANGES AS THE REAR OF THE VEH GOES UP AND DOWN WITH DIPS IN THE ROAD, SOUNDS LIKE A GROWLING. HAVE THE VEH AT THE DEALER NOW AND THEY CANNOT SEEM TO FIND THIS NOISE. THIS THING IS A 2003 CHEVY 2500 WITH A DURAMAX AND A ALLISON. IT HAS 4 DOORS AND A 8 FOOT BED. I REALLY COULD USE SOME HELP ON THIS ONE. THE VEH HAS 36 K ON IT AND I HAVE A GMPP ON IT. I THINK THE DEALER IS GOING TO TRY TO BLOW ME OFF. WHAT CAN I DO??
THAMS MIKE M

Mike

If you have a Duramax and/or Allison, then you do in fact have the 11.5"er. The 10.5" is used for the lesser powered/trannied trucks, like a 2500, 2500HD or 3500 with the 6.0L gasser.

If your dealer is telling you otherwise, run away. Run away fast! Don't look back. Find a dealer that can find his butt in the dark.
