I've been running the Juice for several months now. Then, lately, I've been using a Quad Stealth Tuner. I tow a 13k lb. 5th wheel and use the 90 hp setting on the Juice and the 110 hp level on the Quad.

At no time while towing has the tranny temperature gone higher than 195 degrees according to the dash gauge. My question is this. Is the tranny temp gauge a good barometer in determining if it is being damaged??

If too much power (over time) is applied to the tranny, is heat the first indicator that the tranny is being pushed beyond its capability?

I for one am under the impression that the temp gauge is a good reference to ensure the tranny is not pushed to hard. Am I correct in my thinking?

if you're driving around empty (no trailer) on the highway 75-80 mph and the tranny temps are over 200 degrees in 80 degree weather then you might have a set of clutches slipping in the tranny
