Just changed all my lubricants in my 2003 Suburban with the exception of the transfer case.
The GM oil has no cross over from AMSOIL and when I asked them they said don't change it until they can identify it and come up with a replacement.
Anyone know what the lube is and why the problem?
Sub is 8.1 3/4ton HD trans.
Also to change tran filter requires dropping the drive shaft??? Not the same as my 2000 Yukon XL.

If your 'burb has Autotrac, you MUST use Autotrac II fluid. There is no substitution. As far as I know, the only place to get it is at the dealer, for now. All others use Dexron III ATF.

Autotrac is not the same as the "push button" 4 X 4. If you have Autotrac, you will have an "auto" button on the dash. The "push button" versions have 2 hi, 4 hi, and 4 lo only. No Auto button. Check your equipment options paper if you are not sure.
