Has anyone installed one of those fastcoolers (www.fastcoolers.com) on thier ZF6 manual transmission? If so did you install 2? and which part number off the website did you order?

Thought I'd bring this back up front for another attempt at an answer. Come on someone out there has bought one of these. Thanks

......Apparently not

Looks like a functional product, though. A little pricey.

When I was running my Dodge/Cummins 6-speed some of the guys on the TDR site were running them. If memory is clear enough they said they lowered the tranny temp somewhere around 50 - 75 degrees.

wonder if one would work on the Allison to help lower towing temps?

I'm not aware of any GM pickups with FastCoolers, but I have two installed on my NV4500. There isn't much lubricant in the NV4500, so any increase is very desirable! Generally automatic transmissions have an external oil cooler but not a manual transmission.
FastCoolers almost double the lubricant capacity, and expose more surface area to keep the lubricant temperatures down. Also if you are so inclined, there is a threaded hole for a temperature probe. They are installed where the PTO covers are so long as you have room. Sometimes an exhaust pipe, front axle driveshaft, etc may be in the way. I've even seen them installed on the 241HD transfer case or any transfer case or transmission that has the standard 6 bolt PTO cover.

I just ordered one last week - have not received it yet. Below is a series of emails I exchanged with Verlyn Fast.

The bolt pattern is the same on all six bolt pto covers. The part #
1fc375 is for one cooler for transmissions with only one pto cover. The
2fc375 is for two coolers for transmissions with two pto covers. The 375
in the part number represents the length of the cooler meaning it is
3.75 inches in length.

I have just left out the GMCs, I'll have to fix that.

On your web site this is listed only as a Ford part.
