Has anyone found a aftermarket one for the Duramax yet?

The bottom line is we have to beef up the steering on these trucks everyplace we can..It is a weak link, IMO...

To bad we cant put pre-99 steering gear in these trucks..I just do not remember EVER having any steering problems with the older Trucks 1/2 or 3/4..

Sometimes I wonder if this a manufacture-sub contractor get even thing, because GM went with rack and pinion on all the 1/2ton 2 wheel drive trucks..Caprices and all the full sized cars..

Just think of all the steering boxes they(Saginaw or whoever?) used to make, compared to the amount they make now for GM..Just 4 wheel drive trucks and a few others..

The only problem I ever had on a pre 99 truck was the pitman arm, seems like they went out the quickest. I was always running mudders in the winter though.
