fred,

I had heard rumor that they were suppose to be out today. Does anyone know? I too am interested in this info. You would think GM would want to get that info out there as soon as possible!! You know they're gonna raise the price so why not try to start selling the ones you're going to make the most profit on. Hey they should stimulate the economy by lowering prices, I think I'll give ol' George W. a call and suggest he talk to GM :D

They don't like to get the hype going too soon so they can unload all the previous year trucks first.

Try:

note: Agstar had it first, before the dealer when I ordered.

Two years ago, when I was waiting for 2002 pricing the dealers all got it on July 5th.

Looks like I was right about GM bringing out a 3500HD in the future. It seemed odd to me that they would have a 1500,2500,1500HD,2500HD and then a 3500 but no 3500HD. The 3500HD is going to be built starting 7/14/2003. Check out manufacturers production dates/trucks USA.

I also noticed that the GMC 3500HD is discontinued.
They wouldn't still be making a Chevy 3500HD in the old body style would they?

If they do I wonder what engine & tranny will be used

They use the Duramax/Allison along with 8.1/Allison in the 4500/5500's..... so I'd say thats the combinations they'll have available in the 3500HD.
They will probably have different rear end gear ratio's available (4.10,4.56), and maybe a straight front axel like they had on the old 3500HD's. ;)

I think the 3500HD is the "Silverado" style 3500, but in a chassis-cab:

ADDED IN EDIT:
Lousy filter -- replace the "***" with a "." then a "j" then an "s" .....

I used this web page to get my order for GMC.
It didn't have the code for the newer diesel
but my dealer did. But he didn't know what was.

It also doesn't have the rumored availability ot 2-tone paint.

Hope you enjoy pouring over it as much as I did

sk,
I think you're probably right, :( www.wheels.com (http://www.wheels.com) has screwed up big time and added "HD" to the 3500 when it should have put "CC" which I think means "chassis cab" after the 3500.
Darn.....It was sure nice to see "3500HD" in their GM "truck line" start up, for August,14/2003.
