Can someone with this setup on an HD give me a measurement from the top of bed rail to the ground. Stock measurement seems to be around 54" with truck fairly leveled out. I was thinking about lifting but was worried flipping the axles on my fifth wheel wouldn't be enough. Greatly appreciated!

Just to give you an idea, mine with 3" body lift and 295's sits right at 58" to the top of the bed, so figure between 61-62" for an HD with 6" lift and 35's.

How do you like the Nitto Terragraplers? Your 295s' look great the 3" body lift. I'm considering them also in a 305/70/16E. With no lift and only a torsion bar adjustment, I don't think I can go bigger than 33". Also, did you order direct or go through discounttire.com?
Thanks,
Doug

DmaxDoug, Nothing but good things to say about the NITTO's. I ordered from Discount Tire Direct, called them on the phone and in a couple days they arrived. They were a dream to balance, the most weight needed was 1.25 oz. and the least was 0 oz.

XAM-D,
i'm at work right now and cant measure mine but i'll do it tomorrow. I work nights so i'll post it sat. night. I've got a 02 dmax allison with a 6" superlift and 35" tires on the factory rims. I'm 6'2" and its just below my chin so i'm guessing 63-64". I drove my truck 3 miles in stock form. then pulled in to the local 4x4 shop and had it lifted. just over 1800 miles and no problems, havent recalled the speedo or anything yet. Knock on wood cause i love this truck. :D

I've got a 6" RCD lift with 35x12.5x16.5 BFG's. From the ground to the top of my bed rail is 60.5" on the left and 60.0" on the right. I tow a 33' 5th wheel toy box. This trailer is designed for the tall F350, which I had previously to this Chevy. It tow's fine with the lift and tires, could probably stand to have my axles flip on the trailer. Hope this helps.

well i forgot my tape measure but i did the old it comes up to here on me. Mine is highest at the tailgate. It has a little rake to it (rear a bit higher than front look) then i measured myself and i come up with 64" at the tailgate. Not to scientific i know but i'm sure you want more than a couple inches of clearence.

Maximus,
What kind of toy box do you own. I just ordered a 37' Nomad toybox with slide. Trailers sits on 16" wheels and had guy in service dept. go out and measure trailer clearance. He says 60" with trailer level. Dealer included flipping axles in the deal, but just don't want to get truck in the air and not fit trailer. Axle flip has to give me at least 4-5".

I've got a Wanderer by Thor CA on 16" wheels designed for the taller pick-ups. Like I said it tow's fine and I've got 6.5" between the bed rails and the bottom of the camper.
