Does anyone know if the factory aluminum wheels are made by ALCOA? And if so has anyone out there tried ALCOA center caps and lug nut covers to dress up their truck?

You might want to take a look at the wheels & tires (http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=13;t=000323) topic thread in the Towing Forum.

When I took mine off under the cap is stamped Hunrgy. I thought Alcoa Wheel's are US made. Soo I would have to say NO.

The ones on my 2002 said Alcoa right on them. Some do, some don't.

My 2001 has OEM Alcoa wheels. I'm not sure when they changed suppliers. Have a look at the stamp on mine. Of course, they haven't been on the truck for a while.

Go figure. Gm ups the price of the "option" wheels, then outsources them for probably 10% of what they cost originally. Apparently, the profiteers at GM don't have to drive GM vehicles. More like Mercedes, Porshe, Rolls Royce....
