Had a look the Allison web page today and found some useful reference material. When I purchased my 2001 Chev 2500HD I did not receive an owners manual for the tranny.(not sure if one was suppose to come with it or not?)Anyway I printed off the Operators(70 pages) and Mechanics Tips(124 pages) guides(a few trees gave their life today). For those interested go to www.allisontransmission.com and look for the search feature. There you will request MT3190EN for the Mechanics tips guide and then OM3063EN for the Operator's guide. I'm new to this forum and am not sure if this has been covered already (did a search for service manuals-nothing) however may provide some additional info on how our tranny's are built.
I've been following this site for about a month now and have been amazed with all the helpful info you guys/gals provide. I have become a member because I am obsessed with my new rig just as many of you are (the wife thinks I've lost it) and look forward to your valuable contributions. :D :D :D
